Its Australia’s biggest all-female Triathlon, with over 4,000 ladies taking part across five locations from September to January, raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. And Body Science Nutrition is behind every single competitor.
The Triathon Pink, first launched in 2007, has grown to be the biggest all-female mass participation event in Australia attracting ladies from all walks of life to compete in the gruelling three-leg active challenge. This year’s events start in the Sunshine Coast on 12 September, landing on the Gold Coast, Sydney, Perth, and finishing up in Melbourne on 23 January 2011 with close to 5,000 competitors and over $50,000 expected to be raised for the chosen charity. Australian sports brand Body Science has signed up as sponsor of the five Triathlon Pink events; an organisation dedicated to health and wellbeing, Body Science recently launched a female range ‘Body for Women’, featuring a shaping protein powder stocked in Coles stores nationwide. The brand’s ambassadors include leading female athlete Stephanie Rice and renowned nutritionist Susie Burrell, and Body Science will be fielding expert teams at each event to provide energy drinks as ladies cross the finishing line, as well as warm up activities, nutritional information, and competitions for the triathletes and spectators. Body Science Director Greg Young said: “The Triathlon Pink is a fantastic event and we’re right behind these inspirational ladies. Our Body for Women brand is the perfect fit with active women and we’re looking forward to spreading our message among some of the fittest women in the country, and helping to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation”.
