The Alight South Sydney Rabbitohs are proud to announce that Body Science (BSc) will serve as the club's official supplement supplier for the 2003 National Rugby League season.
Body Science is acknowledged as one of Australia's market leaders in dietary supplements, having worked in the past with National Rugby League clubs the Sydney Roosters and Canberra Raiders, and iron man champion Ky Hurst.
Under the new supplement sponsorship agreement, Rabbitohs players will become members of Body Science's Research and Development Team - testing and reporting performance while using BSc's extensive sports and lifestyle range of supplements.
Body Science's wide range of dietary supplements and formulations are stringently tested to an exacting standard to help improve athletes muscle mass, recovery levels, and absolute strength.
Body Science is a wholly Australian-owned company with a strict policy of only releasing products that can be supported by results. Every active ingredient in its formulas has a beneficial purpose, not just a label claim. Body Science prides itself on only releasing products that are scientifically and independently proven to be effective.
"The Allight South Sydney Rabbitohs are very pleased to announce this partnership with Body Science," said Director of Athletic Performance Edgar Curtis.
"After trialling Body Science dietary supplements, Rabbitohs players are bigger, quicker, and stronger, than at the same stage in previous years.
"Players such as Frank Puletua, Andrew Hart and Mark Meredith have bulked up by as much as ten kilos to handle the gruelling season ahead.
"They are only going to get bigger and stronger by the time the NRL season proper rolls around, thanks to the excellence of the Body Science supplements."
Body Science Director Greg Young said he was proud to be associated with a truly loved Australian NRL club like the Rabbitohs, and looks forward to the 2003 NRL season.
"It is obvious how committed the club and fans are to developing a premiership team - it's logical that we be associated," said Young.
"Rugby League is such an intensive sport that requires peak physical and mental performance, so Body Science could not have selected a more appropriate team to help test our products.
"We are confident that the results will speak for themselves in 2003 and 2004," he concluded.
Body Science director James Grasso welcomed the agreement by saying that "supplementation is now a vital part of every athlete's regime in a bid to maintain peak performance and at the same time maintain a healthy mind and body."
"The physical and mental pressure NRL players place on themselves, and the expectations from fans that they continue to improve means that we are keen to put our products to the test immediately."
