Body Science athlete Eamon Sullivan has cemented his position as Australia's fastest ever swimmer by smashing the National short course 50 metre freestyle record.

Just thought I would drop latest update.... about 3 weeks ago we had a grand prix short course meet in Canberra..
I hadn't swum short course for 2 years and ended up breaking the national record, twice....article from australian swimming is below...
The article is from the night before i broke it again.. I went a 21.46 when i broke it again

Eamon Sullivan has cemented his position as Australia's fastest ever swimmer by smashing the National short course 50 metre freestyle record at the Telstra Grand Prix at the Australian Institute of Sport pool in Canberra.

Swimming in the elimination style 'Monaco 50's', Sullivan (West Coast, WA) clocked a sizzling 21.62 to slash 0.07 of a second off Brett Hawke's seven year old Australian record.



Tonight's record means the 21-year-old Western Australian holds the nation's fastest 50m and second fastest 100m times in both long and short course competition.

Earlier today Sullivan clocked 47.45 to take out the 100m, second only to Ash Callus' National mark of 46.99 but his job is not done and tomorrow he will square off against Jono Newton (Sydney University, NSW), who swam 22.13 tonight, in man on man 'Monaco 50' final.
