The Allight South Sydney Rabbitohs had a special guest appearance yesterday when Ironman champion Ky Hurst met the team at Souths Leagues Club.
Hurst, a keen rugby league supporter, was presented with a 2003 South Sydney jersey with number 1 Hurst on the back.
"I really enjoyed coming in and getting a taste of the Rabbitohs tradition," said Hurst.
"It's a really interesting operation here, with the stats system that is run and the amount of training and personalised development there is for individuals at the club.
"I also love the jersey - it's great to have my own personalised part of the Rabbitohs, i think i'm turning red and green," he concluded.
Hurst, who is based in Tugun, Queensland when not competing on the Ironman circuit, enjoyed his experience at Rabbitohs Headquarters and is keen to get out to a Souths game in the future.
Ky came to the club as part of a promotional tour with South Sydney suppplements sponsor Body Science.
